Poster Guidelines

  • Acknowledgement Statement - the poster template has an acknowledgement statement at the very bottom. Your project unique funding information. If so, the program leader will reach out to you and your mentor to let you know what grants to cite. Please use the following statement and be sure to fill in the relevant portions with your own information:

“We are grateful to insert names here who insert how they helped you and to the Cornell Geneva Summer Scholars Program partially funded by a grant from USDA-NIFA (grant no. 2021-68010-34652/project accession no. 1025959) for providing financial support to your name.”

Submit an abstract

  • Poster titles & abstracts are due by Tuesday, July 28th

  • Abstract guidelines: Brian Nault, Professor & Program Leader in the Department of Entomology is sharing his presentation with you as a resource. Please refer to it as needed while writing your abstract.

  • Not sure what an abstract should look like. Here is an example

Submit Your Poster

  • You may submit your poster as early as Wednesday, July 22 but no later than Monday, July 27 at 8:00 AM.

  • Final posters should be saved as either a .pptx (Microsoft Powerpoint) file or .pdf file prior to uploading to Box.

  • Upload your final poster into the 2026 SRS Posters box folder

  • You are required to complete the poster printing sign-up sheet with the following information:

    • Account number to charge for the printing of your poster. Ask your faculty advisor for the account number.

    • Which material you would like your poster printed on. You may choose Plain, Glossy, Fabric, or Canvas (samples of the material will be available to see during Friday lunch discussions).

    • Email address

  • More details regarding preparation and run of show for July 31 will be discussed at the last two Free Lunch Fridays.

Poster Printing

  • Holly Hancharik (AA in Entomology) and Christine Dean (AA in Plant Pathology) will print posters between July 23 - July 30.

  • Students will receive an email from either Holly or Christine notifying them when their poster is ready for pick-up.

  • Poster pick-up will be in Barton A111 between the hours of 10am - 3pm.

  • Students will bring their poster with them the morning of the poster session.

Information

Scholars - Arrive at 9:30 am to set-up posters. The presentations start at 10:00 am.
